This is a Glasair III. It's not known as an extremely fast airplane, but it is quick. Usually the Lancairs and Thunder Mustangs and Nemesisses (Nemesae?) out run them, but this guy takes the old school path of beating them with horsepower. twin turbocharging an IO-580 flat-6 to near a reported 750hp is how it's done, and the owner says there's another engine back at the shop that's got a bit more. Take a fast lap with the pilot of "Race-39", this year's Sport Class Gold winner at Reno.
